Study Organization
The following Online Portals and Platforms are crucial for you to smoothly organize your studies:
The university portal LSF ("lehre, studium, forschung") provides important information about courses, facilities, registration deadlines, rooms and buildings as well as people.
LSF is used for course registration, searching for rooms or checking room allocations. Also, students can view the course catalogue, schedules and current lectures or use LSF to create individual timetables by reserving courses.
The e-learning platform Moodle is mainly used for net-supported teaching. Students have the opportunity to join virtual classrooms for their courses. In these rooms, all relevant information (e.g. slides, literature, lecture notes, additional materials etc.) is available for download.
Moodle can also serve as a workspace for student project groups or as a platform for communication between lecturers and students. .
BOSS is short for “bologna online study service”. This online portal is used for exam administration and coordination purposes. Students will formally register or de-register for examinations via BOSS and they can also download their current Transcript of Records (ToR) here.
